Each filter is dimensioned and rated to the original equipment specification: media type, bypass valve pressure, anti-drain-back valve, and seal geometry all match OE.

A filter that fits but fails on specification is worse than no filter — it can cause engine damage or starvation. Inta filters are engineered against the points that matter:

Filtration efficiency to OE
Filter media (cellulose, synthetic, or blended) chosen to match the OE filtration rating — the micron rating at which the filter captures particulates with specified efficiency. Critical for engine wear life on modern direct-injection engines.
Burst pressure tested
Each filter housing tested to withstand the maximum operating pressure of the system it is fitted to — relevant for high-pressure oil systems and common-rail diesel fuel circuits.
Bypass valve calibrated
Oil filters with internal bypass valves are calibrated to open at the OE-specified pressure differential. Wrong bypass spec can result in unfiltered oil reaching the bearings or unnecessary bypass at normal operation.
Anti-drain-back valve
Where OE specifies, anti-drain-back valves prevent oil from draining out of the filter at engine-off, ensuring instant oil pressure on restart. Critical on certain Japanese and European platforms with cylinder-deactivation systems.
Sealed gaskets
Filter base gaskets are pre-lubricated and dimensioned to seal correctly against the original mounting face. No leaks at the seal at fitment, no “weep” complaints after a service.
